7 Mile Jitney Service For Avalon And Stone Harbor
The popular Jitney service returns to Avalon and Stone Harbor for the summer of 2016. The Avalon Chamber of Commerce and the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce present the 7 Mile Jitney to the 7 Mile Beach. This Jitney service provides reliable, affordable, eco-friendly transportation between both communities during the evening and late night hours throughout the summer. The7 Mile Jitney service will operate every evening starting May 23rd through September 2nd. Jitneys will operate between the hours of 6:00pm-2:00am. Passengers may wave for a Jitney at any corner along the proposed base route. Fares will be $2.00 between the hours of 6:00pm-11:00pm, and $4.00 after 11:00pm. Passengers may pay the Jitney driver in cash. A 7 Mile Jitney will pass by every corner on the base route at least every ten minutes so your wait for a Jitney is very short. The Jitneys run on compressed natural gas making Jitneys among the most eco-friendly transportation service available in the United States. Here is the base route for the 7 Mile Jitney service: 20th Street and Dune Drive, heading south to 80th Street, making a left on 80th Street, making a right onto First Avenue, making a right on 83rd Street, making a left on Second Avenue to 96th Street, making a right on 96th Street to Third Avenue and proceeding north on Ocean Drive in Avalon to 20th Street. |
